Thank you for showing your interest in becoming a valued volunteer with the HSPPR! To kick off your volunteer journey, let’s make sure in-shelter volunteering is right for you!
- Must be 16 years or older to volunteer by yourself or 12-15 years old with an adult
- Commit to one 2-hour shift every other week
- Ability to complete online training courses
- A love for animals and positive attitude!

Sometimes animals need a little extra time to heal or grow. That’s where our amazing foster volunteers come in!
CART volunteers
Community Animal Response Team (CART) volunteers stand ready to help in emergency or disaster situations.
DIY projects
Make a difference from the comfort of your own home! Create enrichment treats and toys for shelter pets while they wait for their Happy Tail!
Young affiliated professionals
Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region welcomes young professionals (aged 21-40) to join our Young Affiliated Professionals (YAP) group!

service
