HSPPR to Open Expanded Veterinary Clinic
Media is invited to see the new clinic Wednesday
December 13, 2022 Colorado Springs, CO Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region’s (HSPPR) newly expanded veterinary clinic and surgery center opened last week and will help thousands of homeless pets that come through the doors each year.
“We are incredibly proud to unveil HSPPR’s expanded veterinary clinic that will allow us to help even more homeless, injured, and sick pets than ever before in 2023,” said HSPPR President & CEO, Duane Adams.
Construction on the 8,000 square-foot, $7M veterinary clinic expansion project began in April and the new space provides a larger area to care for more shelter animals at any given time.
Highly qualified veterinarians and certified veterinary technicians previously used a 5,300-square-foot clinic to perform spay/neuter surgeries, provide routine care, and work on emergency cases for homeless animals.
HSPPR hosted a champagne toast and ribbon–cutting celebration with supporters of the project on Thursday, December 8 and veterinary staff began working in the new space on Saturday, December 10.
You are invited to view the new clinic on Wednesday, December 14th with HSPPR Director of Veterinary Services, Julie Crosby, available for interviews.
