***Staff thinks I will be ready by late March. Sparks is a feisty little ball of energy with a sweet and playful personality. Sparks loves playing with her sister and the resident blue heeler but seems to prefer indoor fun over yard time. She sleeps well through the night but will happily let you know when the sun is up and it’s time for breakfast! She’ll thrive in any size family but, due to her playful nippiness, training classes will be great. Sparks will be an active and affectionate companion for the right home!!***



I am not currently at the shelter because I’m growing big and strong in a foster home! You can sign up to pre-adopt me by placing a $50 choice hold. This is a non-refundable fee that does not go towards my adoption fee, but it does give you the first opportunity to adopt me. Shelter staff will contact you when I’m ready to go home with my new family! To place a choice hold, you can either come into the shelter or call us at 719-473-1741; you may wait to speak with a customer service representative or leave a voicemail. Choice holds are placed on a first-come, first-serve basis and only one choice hold can be placed on an animal.



Once I am old enough to go home, I will have to be adopted at the shelter without a visit. Unfortunately, we aren’t able to visit while I’m in the foster home as it’s a lot of stress on me to be transported back and forth to the shelter for visits, which makes me more susceptible to getting sick. We want to be healthy for our new life together!
